The Maska helmets are in shape and purpose to the TIG/Altyn helmet families, but they are cousins, not siblings. Maskas are made from steel, never titanium, and their visors come in two common flavors- "fishbowl" with a polycarb transparent visor, and "slit" with a small thin visor slit with no eye guard at all. Maskas were not uncommon during the Chechen wars, but have become obsolete.
