ガダルカナル上空で被弾・負傷し、ラバウルに帰還した直後の坂井三郎（中央左）。中央右の無帽・白シャツの男性が笹井醇一。坂井の左、書類らしきものを持っているのが、太田敏夫。
Saburo sakai (center left), photographed immediately after returning to Rabaul having been shot and wounded over Guadalcanal. The man in the center right, bareheaded and wearing a white shirt, is Junichi Sasai. To Sakai's left, holding what appears to be documents, is Toshio Ota.
