A battery of a Japanese 70-mm "battalion type 92" light howitzer in action against the Chinese units in northern China. The Type 92 battalion artillery piece was a light howitzer used by the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War and World War II. Each infantry battalion included two Type 92 weapons; therefore, the Type 92 was referred to as "battalion artillery".
