The Safir 74, also called the T-72Z, and for the domestic Sudanese variant it carries the name Al-Zubair I is a T-54/55 series upgrade package.

It introduces a new 105mm gun and gunner optics, alongside K1-styled coverage on the front and sides as well as a new 780HP V-46-6 engine to replace the old 520/580HP engine.

This package is usable on any T-54/55 pattern vehicle and carries a lot of different names depending on where its used, with its only users being Iran (NEZSA), Sudan (since 2006~) and Hezbollah (in limited quantities.
