English Carrack Henry Grace á Dieu (1514)
The Henry Grace á Dieu meaning "Henry, Thanks be to God", also referred to as Great Harry, was a carrack warship in service of the Royal Fleet of King Henry VIII. The largest warship in the world at the time, it served as flagship of the fleet. Here it is as depicted in the Anthony Rolls, a series of three velum scrolls documenting the whole of the Tudor Fleet of the 1540s, gifted to King Henry VIII in 1546.
