🇯🇵🇺🇸#JGSDF conducted a disaster response drill in the Sakishima Islands as part of a field training exercise with the U.S. Marine Corps, “Resolute Dragon 26.”
During the drill, the JGSDF established a joint coordination center within a camp and conducted the transportation of supplies and casualty evacuation using aircraft (V-22 and CH-53), as well as joint medical support operations and joint water purification training under a disaster response scenario. Through these activities, the JGSDF enhanced its disaster response capabilities and shared a common understanding of coordination procedures.
