    A U.S. Soldier acting as an opposing force (OPFOR) but assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, lays down suppression fire with an M-240B machine gun toward a 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division tactical operations center during Combined Resolve XI, Hohenfels, Germany, Dec. 8, 2018. Combined Resolve XI at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center is the final exercise in 1-1 CD’s rotation in support of Atlantic Resolve in Europe, which evaluates the interoperability of U.S. forces with their NATO allies and partners.
