DESCRIPTION:
HANDLEY-PAGE BOMBING PLANE; TYPE BUILT TO FLY ACROSS THE ATLANTIC.
The new Handley-Page bombing airplane built by the Standard Aircraft Corporation, Elizabeth, N.J., which is of the type constructed to be able to fly to the fighting zones across the Atlantic. The plane is driven by twin Liberty motors 400 H.P. each, and has passed all the government tests. The new machine was driven by Lord William Simphill, of the British Service, accompanied by Major General William L. Henly, U.S.A., Chief of the Department of Military Aeronautics.
